Which Square account can I connect?

You need a Square seller account with Bookings API access, an active location and bookable team members. The initial connection uses the first active location; choose eligible free service variations with a valid duration at that location.

What Square permissions are requested?

The connector requests merchant profile read, appointments read/write, appointments business settings read, items read and customers read/write. It does not request the Payments write scope.

Are services, variants and staff availability kept in sync?

MessageMind offers selected service variations that are available for booking, priced at zero, have a valid duration and belong to the connected location. Availability is checked through Square for the selected service and bookable team members.

Does this connector collect a deposit or charge a card?

No. MessageMind creates and manages the appointment and customer record. Deposits, card charges, checkout links and prepaid packages remain in your configured Square payment workflow.

Which Square location does it use?

The initial connection selects the first active Square location. The assistant uses that connected location and its eligible free services; it does not automatically switch locations based on the messaging channel or collect deposits.

What happens when a reschedule gets complicated?

A request outside the supported appointment workflow can be handed to your team with the conversation context. Staff can review the booking in Square and handle changes that need manual attention.
