Splose AI Integration: How It Works and How to Connect It
The Splose AI integration lets MessageMind's AI agent read live Splose data and reply across WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, email and web chat.
The Splose AI integration connects Splose to MessageMind so an AI agent can read live context and reply across every channel your customers use. Connect Splose so your AI agent can find open appointment times at your clinic and book patients into your practitioners' Splose diaries. You connect with an API key that a workspace owner creates in Splose.
What is the Splose AI integration?
Connect Splose so your AI agent can find open appointment times at your clinic and book patients into your practitioners' Splose diaries. You connect with an API key that a workspace owner creates in Splose. Your services are imported when you connect, and on the Splose Settings page you choose whether the AI agent only shares open times or also books them.
You can see every supported integration on the MessageMind integrations page, and the full technical reference for this one lives in the Splose documentation. If you prefer to see it in action first, book a demo and we will walk you through the live flow.
What the Splose integration can do
The Splose AI integration ships with the following capabilities out of the box:
- Imports your Splose services into AI Lab > AI Training under Offerings, with their descriptions and prices, so the AI agent can answer questions about them.
- Your locations' addresses are added to Company Profile, and their phone numbers and email addresses to Contact Details, in AI Training. If you delete one of these entries, it is not added back unless the value changes in Splose.
- The AI agent can look up open times for up to three services at once, with any practitioner or only the ones the patient asks for.
- Before booking, it reads the appointment back to the patient and waits for a yes.
- It books under the patient's existing Splose record when it finds one, and creates a new patient record when there is none.
- Bookings work from chats and from AI phone calls. Each appointment gets a note in Splose naming the channel, for example "Booked by MessageMind AI (WhatsApp)".
Data read and written
The Splose AI integration touches a scoped set of fields. Here is exactly what moves between the two systems:
| Direction | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Read | Your locations, with their names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and Online booking switch. |
| Read | Your practitioners, which services they provide, where they work and whether Splose's Online booking switch is on for them. |
| Read | Your services, with name, description, type, price and duration. |
| Read | Free times in your practitioners' diaries. |
| Read | Patient records, to find the person booking by mobile number, email, name and date of birth. |
| Write | New patient records with first name, last name and mobile number, plus email and date of birth when the patient gives them. |
| Write | New appointments for one patient with one practitioner at one location, with a note saying MessageMind AI booked it and through which channel. |
How to set up the Splose AI integration
Setup takes a few minutes once your Splose account is live. The outline:
- In Splose, sign in as a workspace owner.
- Create an API key under API keys and copy it.
- In MessageMind, open Connections > Integrations.
- Find Splose under Bookings, or type Splose in the search box.
- Click Connect on the Splose row. The Connect Splose window opens.
- Paste the key into the API key field. The key is masked as you paste it; click the eye icon if you want to check it.
The step-by-step walkthrough, including every button and field, is in the Splose documentation.
Use cases for the Splose AI integration
Teams typically turn the Splose AI integration on to:
- A patient on WhatsApp asks for the next free initial consultation. The AI agent lists the soonest open times at the location they want and books the one they pick.
- A patient asks to see a particular practitioner on Tuesday afternoon. The AI agent only offers times when that practitioner is free for that service.
- A caller on your AI phone line books a follow-up visit, and it shows in Splose with the note "Booked by MessageMind AI (phone call)".
- Someone books for a family member. The AI agent asks for that person's own name and mobile number and books under their record, not the sender's.
- A patient asks what a service costs or how long it takes, and the AI agent answers from your imported Splose services.

Limitations to know
The Splose integration ships with a deliberately scoped surface. These are the limits worth knowing before you depend on it:
- The AI agent books new appointments only. It cannot cancel or move appointments, or tell patients about appointments they already have.
- Each appointment is for one patient. Group services, packages and support activities are imported so the AI agent can describe them, but it does not book them.
- If your Splose workspace makes extra patient details mandatory, the AI agent cannot create new patients. It can still book patients who already have a record.
- When several patient records match and the date of birth does not settle it, the AI agent tells the patient that the clinic needs to make the booking.
- New or changed services, practitioners and locations in Splose can take up to a day to reach the AI agent.
Pricing and plan availability
The Splose AI integration is available on MessageMind's paid plans. The MessageMind pricing page lists which plan is required and what each tier includes. There is no extra per-integration fee; the connection is part of your account.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Splose AI integration?
The Splose AI integration is the native connection between Splose and MessageMind. Once connected, the AI agent can read live Splose context during a conversation and act on it (for example answering a stock question, booking an appointment or updating a contact) across WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, email and web chat.
How do I connect Splose to MessageMind?
Open the Splose integration page inside your MessageMind dashboard and follow the connect flow. The full step-by-step with every field label and screenshot is in the Splose documentation.
How does authentication work for the Splose integration?
You paste one Splose API key into the Connect Splose window. You do not pick a region: keys from Splose's Australia and New Zealand service and from its UK service both work. MessageMind stores these credentials encrypted at rest and uses them only server-side, so they never reach the browser or any third party.
What does the AI agent do once Splose is connected?
It works with live Splose data during the conversation. The first capability in the Splose documentation reads: "Imports your Splose services into AI Lab > AI Training under Offerings, with their descriptions and prices, so the AI agent can answer questions about them." The full list, with every field the integration reads and writes, is in the documentation.
"Splose did not recognise that API key in Australia and New Zealand or in the UK. Check it was copied whole and has not been revoked." What should I do?
Copy the key again from Splose, making sure none of it is cut off, or create a new key. Then click Connect again.
