The Guesty AI integration connects Guesty to MessageMind so an AI agent can read live context and reply across every channel your customers use. Connect Guesty so the AI agent can answer your guests and check your listings, calendar and reservations. Guesty connects in two places. The Guesty channel brings the conversations from your Guesty inbox into the Workspace, and the Guesty integration gives the AI agent your properties, availability and reservations.

What is the Guesty AI integration?

Connect Guesty so the AI agent can answer your guests and check your listings, calendar and reservations. Guesty connects in two places. The Guesty channel brings the conversations from your Guesty inbox into the Workspace, and the Guesty integration gives the AI agent your properties, availability and reservations. Both use the Client ID and Client Secret of an Open API integration you create in Guesty, and once the channel is connected the integration can copy them, so you paste them only once.

You can see every supported integration on the MessageMind integrations page, and the full technical reference for this one lives in the Guesty documentation. If you prefer to see it in action first, book a demo and we will walk you through the live flow.

What the Guesty integration can do

The Guesty AI integration ships with the following capabilities out of the box:

  • Guest conversations from your Guesty inbox (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, email, SMS and WhatsApp) appear in the Workspace inbox next to your other channels.
  • Replies from the AI agent or your team go back through Guesty on the channel the guest wrote on, so an Airbnb guest gets the answer in Airbnb.
  • Each Guesty conversation shows its reservation: property, dates, number of guests and total.
  • The guest's name, email, phone, photo and language from Guesty fill in the contact. Details your team typed are never overwritten.
  • When you connect the channel, guest conversations from the last 30 days are imported. New messages arrive on their own after that.
  • Your Guesty listings are imported as properties and kept up to date, so the AI agent can describe each one. This needs a Short Term Rentals account.
  • The AI agent can check availability and nightly prices, send the property's page on your Guesty booking site with the dates filled in, look up a guest's reservation, and check whether an early check-in, a late check-out, new dates or a cancellation would work.

Data read and written

The Guesty AI integration touches a scoped set of fields. Here is exactly what moves between the two systems:

DirectionWhat it covers
ReadGuest conversations and messages in your Guesty inbox.
ReadThe guest's name, email, phone, photo and language.
ReadYour listings: name, description, photos, address, property type, check-in and check-out times, maximum guests, bedrooms, beds, bathrooms, amenities, nightly price range, the listing's pages on Airbnb and the other sites it is published on, and the custom fields you added in Guesty.
ReadAccess details saved on each listing: Wi-Fi name and password, door and lockbox codes, check-in, check-out, parking and access instructions, directions and the house manual.
ReadThe calendar of each listing: free and booked nights, nightly prices, minimum stay and days closed to arrival or departure.
WriteReplies to guests, posted in the guest's Guesty conversation.
WriteA price quote for the exact stay when the AI agent prepares a booking link. The quote books nothing and expires on its own.

How to set up the Guesty AI integration

Setup takes a few minutes once your Guesty account is live. The outline:

  • In Guesty, go to Integrations > Developer tools > Guesty Open API and create a new integration. A name like MessageMind makes it easy to find later.
  • Copy the integration's Client ID and Client Secret. Guesty shows the secret only once, when the integration is created, so store it like a password.
  • In MessageMind, open Connections > Channels and click the Guesty card. The Hospitality filter shows it with the other rental systems.
  • Paste the values into Client ID and Client Secret. Check them before you continue, because Guesty allows only five new connections per Client ID in 24 hours.
  • Optionally, fill in Display name with your property or brand name.
  • Optionally, add the mailboxes you or your team use under Your own email addresses (optional). Type an address and click Add.

The step-by-step walkthrough, including every button and field, is in the Guesty documentation.

Use cases for the Guesty AI integration

Teams typically turn the Guesty AI integration on to:

  • A guest who booked on Airbnb asks late in the evening whether they can check in at 11 instead of 3. The AI agent finds their reservation, looks at the calendar around their arrival day and answers the way you trained it to.
  • A visitor on your website chat asks if the loft is free for three nights in September. The AI agent checks the calendar and the minimum stay, quotes the price and sends the loft's page on your Guesty booking site with those dates filled in.
  • A guest pastes their confirmation code and asks what time check-out is. The AI agent finds the stay from the code and reads the check-out time.
  • On the morning of arrival, a guest asks for the door code. The AI agent matches the conversation to their confirmed reservation and shares the code saved on the listing in Guesty.
  • A guest wants to stay one more night. The AI agent checks that the night is free and tells the guest, and your team extends the booking in Guesty.

Limitations to know

The Guesty integration ships with a deliberately scoped surface. These are the limits worth knowing before you depend on it:

  • Only one property management system can be connected to a MessageMind account at a time.
  • Guesty allows only five new connections per Client ID in 24 hours. Repeated connect attempts can use them up, and then you have to wait. Connecting the integration from your connected channel reuses the channel's connection.
  • The integration alone does not bring guest conversations into the inbox, and the channel alone does not let the AI agent check availability or look up reservations. Connect both for the full setup.
  • Campaign triggers for Guesty bookings need the Guesty channel. Bookings made before you connected do not start them.
  • The AI agent never creates, changes or cancels reservations. It checks Guesty and tells the guest what it found, and changes are made in Guesty.

Pricing and plan availability

The Guesty AI integration is available on MessageMind's paid plans. The MessageMind pricing page lists which plan is required and what each tier includes. There is no extra per-integration fee; the connection is part of your account.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Guesty AI integration?

The Guesty AI integration is the native connection between Guesty and MessageMind. Once connected, the AI agent can read live Guesty context during a conversation and act on it (for example answering a stock question, booking an appointment or updating a contact) across WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, email and web chat.

How do I connect Guesty to MessageMind?

Open the Guesty integration page inside your MessageMind dashboard and follow the connect flow. The full step-by-step with every field label and screenshot is in the Guesty documentation.

How does authentication work for the Guesty integration?

You create an Open API integration in your own Guesty account and paste its Client ID and Client Secret into MessageMind. There is no Guesty sign-in window. The Guesty integration on the Integrations page can copy the pair from your connected Guesty channel, so you paste it only once. MessageMind stores these credentials encrypted at rest and uses them only server-side, so they never reach the browser or any third party.

What does the AI agent do once Guesty is connected?

It works with live Guesty data during the conversation. The first capability in the Guesty documentation reads: "Guest conversations from your Guesty inbox (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, email, SMS and WhatsApp) appear in the Workspace inbox next to your other channels." The full list, with every field the integration reads and writes, is in the documentation.

Clicking Connect Guesty on the channel page shows "Enter both your Guesty Client ID and Client Secret." What should I do?

Fill in both fields. In the Integrations window, Connect stays greyed out until both are filled. If your Guesty channel is connected, click Use my connected Guesty channel instead and skip the fields.
