The Squarespace AI integration touches a scoped set of fields. Here is exactly what moves between the two systems:

How to set up the Squarespace AI integration

Setup takes a few minutes once your Squarespace account is live. The outline:

  • Open Connections > Integrations from the top bar.
  • Click Ecommerce in the left rail, or type squarespace in the search box. The row is called Square Space.
  • Click Connect on that row. The Connect to SquareSpace window opens.
  • Click Connect at the bottom of the window. There's nothing to fill in, even though the window's description mentions a Secret API Key.
  • Sign in to Squarespace if asked. If Squarespace asks which site to connect, pick the one with your store.
  • Approve the access request from MessageMind.

Limitations to know

The Squarespace integration ships with a deliberately scoped surface. These are the limits worth knowing before you depend on it:

  • The AI agent can't look up Squarespace orders, order status or customers.
  • Hidden products aren't imported. With Sync Products on, hiding a product in Squarespace removes it from AI Training.
  • Sale prices aren't read, so the AI agent quotes the regular price.
  • Product images aren't imported.
  • Stock isn't checked in Squarespace when a customer asks about a product.
