What is the Hospitable AI integration?

Connect Hospitable so the AI agent can answer your guests and check your properties, availability and reservations. Hospitable has two parts in MessageMind: the channel brings guest conversations from Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and your other booking sites into the Workspace, and the integration gives the AI agent your properties, calendar and reservations. Both connect through Hospitable sign-in, where you approve MessageMind inside Hospitable. Connect the channel first and the integration can reuse that sign-in with one click.

You can see every supported integration on the MessageMind integrations page, and the full technical reference for this one lives in the Hospitable documentation. If you prefer to see it in action first, book a demo and we will walk you through the live flow.

What the Hospitable integration can do

The Hospitable AI integration ships with the following capabilities out of the box:

  • Brings guest conversations from every booking site Hospitable manages for you (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and others) into your Workspace inbox, next to your other channels.
  • Replies from the AI agent or your team go back through Hospitable, so the guest gets them on the site they booked with. Pre-booking enquiries can be answered too.
  • When you connect the channel, the last 30 days of guest conversations are imported. New messages arrive on their own after that.
  • Your listed Hospitable properties are imported and kept in step with Hospitable, so the AI agent can describe each one.
  • The AI agent can check live availability and prices, send a booking link, find a guest's reservation by confirmation code or by the guest's email or phone, and check whether an early check-in, late check-out or new dates fit the calendar.
  • Hospitable bookings can start automations from Campaigns in the Workspace, with reservation triggers such as Reservation Created, Reservation Cancelled and Reservation Check-in.

Data read and written

The Hospitable AI integration touches a scoped set of fields. Here is exactly what moves between the two systems:

DirectionWhat it covers
ReadGuest conversations and messages, including enquiries sent before a booking.
ReadYour listed properties: name, description, location, property type, number of guests, bedrooms, beds and bathrooms, amenities, house rules, check-in and check-out times, WiFi details, photos and the booking sites each one is listed on.
ReadEach property's calendar: free and booked nights, nightly prices, minimum stay and days closed to arrival or departure.
ReadFor properties on Hospitable Direct, the total price of an exact stay and a booking link for it.
ReadReservations: guest name, property, dates, check-in and check-out times, number of guests, status, booking site and the guest's total where Hospitable provides it. For bookings made on Hospitable Direct, also the property's cancellation policy.
WriteReplies to guests, posted in the guest's Hospitable conversation.
WriteA Hospitable Direct quote for the requested stay, created only when the AI agent sends a booking link.

How to set up the Hospitable AI integration

Setup takes a few minutes once your Hospitable account is live. The outline:

  • Open Connections > Channels and click the Hospitable card. The Hospitality filter lists it with the other rental systems.
  • Click Continue with Hospitable.
  • Sign in to Hospitable if it asks, then approve access for MessageMind.
  • Hospitable sends you back to the Hospitable channel page with the message "Hospitable connected." The page shows a Connected badge and "Your Hospitable account is authorized. New guest messages arrive automatically."
  • Wait for the history import. The page says "Message history import is pending or in progress." while the last 30 days of conversations come in, and "Message history has been imported." once you reload after it finishes.
  • Open Connections > Integrations and find Hospitable under Vacation Rentals.

The step-by-step walkthrough, including every button and field, is in the Hospitable documentation.

Use cases for the Hospitable AI integration

Teams typically turn the Hospitable AI integration on to:

  • A guest who booked on Airbnb asks late at night whether they can check out at noon. The AI agent finds the reservation, checks whether the property is booked that night and answers the way you trained it to.
  • A visitor on your website chat asks if the cottage is free for four people next weekend. The AI agent checks the calendar and the cottage's capacity, gives the price and sends a booking link if the cottage is on Hospitable Direct.
  • A guest asks what time check-in is and how many beds the apartment has. The time comes from their reservation and the bed count from the imported property.
  • A guest wants to arrive a day early. The AI agent checks that the extra night is free and meets the minimum stay, then tells the guest what it found. Your team makes the change in Hospitable.
  • A guest who booked on your Hospitable Direct site asks about cancelling. The AI agent finds the booking and reads them the property's cancellation policy, and your team handles the cancellation in Hospitable.

Limitations to know

The Hospitable integration ships with a deliberately scoped surface. These are the limits worth knowing before you depend on it:

  • One Hospitable account per MessageMind workspace. An account already connected to another workspace has to be disconnected there first.
  • Connecting only the integration gives the AI agent your properties and reservations but does not bring guest conversations into the inbox. Connect the channel for that.
  • The AI agent never creates, changes or cancels reservations. It checks the calendar and tells the guest what it found, and changes are made in Hospitable.
  • Booking links work only for properties on Hospitable Direct. For other properties the AI agent can still check availability.
  • Cancellation policies are read only for bookings made on Hospitable Direct. Bookings from Airbnb and other sites follow that site's terms.

Pricing and plan availability

The Hospitable AI integration is available on MessageMind's paid plans. The MessageMind pricing page lists which plan is required and what each tier includes. There is no extra per-integration fee; the connection is part of your account.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Hospitable AI integration?

The Hospitable AI integration is the native connection between Hospitable and MessageMind. Once connected, the AI agent can read live Hospitable context during a conversation and act on it (for example answering a stock question, booking an appointment or updating a contact) across WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, email and web chat.

How do I connect Hospitable to MessageMind?

Open the Hospitable integration page inside your MessageMind dashboard and follow the connect flow. The full step-by-step with every field label and screenshot is in the Hospitable documentation.

How does authentication work for the Hospitable integration?

Hospitable sign-in. Click Continue with Hospitable on the channel page, or Connect on the Integrations page, then sign in on Hospitable's own page and approve MessageMind. Access renews itself, so there is nothing to copy, paste or renew later. The Hospitable window on the Integrations page still has an Access Token field for a Hospitable Personal Access Token. Leave it empty to use sign-in. MessageMind stores these credentials encrypted at rest and uses them only server-side, so they never reach the browser or any third party.

What does the AI agent do once Hospitable is connected?

It works with live Hospitable data during the conversation. The first capability in the Hospitable documentation reads: "Brings guest conversations from every booking site Hospitable manages for you (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and others) into your Workspace inbox, next to your other channels." The full list, with every field the integration reads and writes, is in the documentation.

After Hospitable sends you back, a message starts with "Hospitable didn't grant access" or "Hospitable authorization was cancelled". What should I do?

The approval was cancelled or refused in Hospitable, and nothing was connected. Start again and approve access for MessageMind on the Hospitable page.
