Package tracking AI Integration: How It Works and How to Connect It
The Package tracking AI integration lets MessageMind's AI agent read live Package tracking data and reply across WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, email and web chat.
The Package tracking AI integration connects Package tracking to MessageMind so an AI agent can read live context and reply across every channel your customers use. Package Tracking lets your AI agent look up a parcel from its courier tracking number and tell the customer where it is. It is built into MessageMind, so there is no courier or tracking account to connect and no key to paste. You turn it on or off in Connections > Integrations.
What is the Package tracking AI integration?
Package Tracking lets your AI agent look up a parcel from its courier tracking number and tell the customer where it is. It is built into MessageMind, so there is no courier or tracking account to connect and no key to paste. You turn it on or off in Connections > Integrations. If you chose Physical Goods as your category when you signed up, it was switched on when your AI agent was created, so it may already be active.
You can see every supported integration on the MessageMind integrations page, and the full technical reference for this one lives in the Package tracking documentation. If you prefer to see it in action first, book a demo and we will walk you through the live flow.
What the Package tracking integration can do
The Package tracking AI integration ships with the following capabilities out of the box:
- Your AI agent checks the tracking number a customer sends and replies with where the parcel is.
- Replies include the parcel's status (for example in transit, out for delivery or delivered) and the estimated delivery date when the courier gives one.
- For a parcel that seems stuck, it can quote the latest scans with their date, time and place.
Data read and written
The Package tracking AI integration touches a scoped set of fields. Here is exactly what moves between the two systems:
| Direction | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Read | Current status of the parcel. |
| Read | Which courier is handling it. |
| Read | Estimated delivery date, if the courier gives one. |
| Read | Country of origin and country of destination. |
| Read | Recipient's name and city, when the courier shares them. |
How to set up the Package tracking AI integration
Setup takes a few minutes once your Package tracking account is live. The outline:
- Open Connections > Integrations.
- Click Ecommerce in the left rail, or type package in the search box.
- Find the Package Tracking row. If its button reads Deactivate, it is already on and you can stop here.
- Click Activate. No window opens and there are no fields to fill in.
- Wait for "Platform Connected!" to appear. The status icon turns into a tick and the button changes to Deactivate.
- Give it about five minutes before you test it. That is how long the AI agent can take to pick up the change.
The step-by-step walkthrough, including every button and field, is in the Package tracking documentation.
Use cases for the Package tracking AI integration
Teams typically turn the Package tracking AI integration on to:
- A customer pastes the tracking number from their shipping email into WhatsApp and asks when the parcel will arrive. The AI agent replies with the status and the estimated delivery date.
- Someone on your website chat says their parcel has not moved for three days and gives the tracking number. The AI agent checks the last scan and tells them when and where it happened.
- A customer says the parcel shows as delivered but nothing came. The AI agent confirms the delivery scan with its time and place, and someone on your team can follow up from the conversation in Workspace.

Limitations to know
The Package tracking integration ships with a deliberately scoped surface. These are the limits worth knowing before you depend on it:
- Package Tracking needs the courier tracking number. By itself it cannot find a parcel from an order number, a name or an email address.
- It only reads tracking updates. Changing the delivery address, redirecting a parcel or opening a claim has to be done with the courier.
- Answers are only as current as the courier's own tracking. If the courier is slow to post scans, the AI agent has nothing newer to tell the customer.
- Accounts whose category is Services, Healthcare, Beauty and Wellness, Real Estate or Hotel and Hospitality may not see the Package Tracking row.
- Turning it on or off can take up to about five minutes to show in the AI agent's replies.
Pricing and plan availability
The Package tracking AI integration is available on MessageMind's paid plans. The MessageMind pricing page lists which plan is required and what each tier includes. There is no extra per-integration fee; the connection is part of your account.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Package tracking AI integration?
The Package tracking AI integration is the native connection between Package tracking and MessageMind. Once connected, the AI agent can read live Package tracking context during a conversation and act on it (for example answering a stock question, booking an appointment or updating a contact) across WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, email and web chat.
How do I connect Package tracking to MessageMind?
Open the Package tracking integration page inside your MessageMind dashboard and follow the connect flow. The full step-by-step with every field label and screenshot is in the Package tracking documentation.
Is the Package tracking integration secure?
Yes. Wherever an integration needs credentials, MessageMind stores them encrypted at rest and uses them only server-side. The Package tracking documentation lists exactly what this integration reads and writes, and the security page describes the platform controls.
What does the AI agent do once Package tracking is connected?
It works with live Package tracking data during the conversation. The first capability in the Package tracking documentation reads: "Your AI agent checks the tracking number a customer sends and replies with where the parcel is." The full list, with every field the integration reads and writes, is in the documentation.
The AI agent tells the customer that no tracking information is available for the number. What should I do?
Ask the customer to compare the number with their shipping confirmation, character by character. If it is correct and the label is new, the courier may not have it in their system yet. Try again later.
