Limitations to know

The Stripe integration ships with a deliberately scoped surface. These are the limits worth knowing before you depend on it:

  • The AI agent can't create payment links, invoices or checkout pages in Stripe through this connection.
  • It can't see the payments, customers, subscriptions or invoices in your Stripe account, and it can't issue refunds.
  • Stripe has no settings. After you connect, the gear button on its row stays greyed out and shows "This integration doesn't have any settings to configure."
  • Connecting Stripe needs the Professional or Enterprise plan.
  • If your account moves to the Starter plan, the Stripe connection is removed.

"Connection failed, try again!" appears after you click Connect. What should I do?

Stripe refused the key. In the Stripe Dashboard, open Developers > API keys and copy the secret key, which starts with sk_live_. The publishable key (pk_live_) won't work here. If Stripe no longer shows the full secret key, create a new secret key on the same page. Paste it into Secret API Key and click Connect again.
