What is the Jobber AI integration?

Connect Jobber to bring your Jobber clients into your MessageMind contacts and start a campaign when a new client comes in. You connect by signing in to Jobber, so there is no key to copy. Once connected, you can import the clients you already have, and labels you add to a linked contact show up as tags on the client in Jobber.

You can see every supported integration on the MessageMind integrations page, and the full technical reference for this one lives in the Jobber documentation. If you prefer to see it in action first, book a demo and we will walk you through the live flow.

What the Jobber integration can do

The Jobber AI integration ships with the following capabilities out of the box:

  • New clients you add in Jobber appear in your contacts with their name, email addresses and phone numbers.
  • When someone sends you a request in Jobber, the client on that request is added to your contacts too.
  • A Jobber client whose email or phone already belongs to one of your contacts is linked to that contact instead of creating a duplicate. The contact is updated with the name, emails and phone numbers from Jobber.
  • Campaigns that use the Jobber trigger start when a Jobber client is added to your contacts as a new contact.
  • You can import every client already in your Jobber account from Workspace > Contacts.
  • Labels you add to a linked contact, by hand or with a campaign's Add/Remove Label step, become tags on the client in Jobber.
  • When you edit a linked contact in MessageMind, its name is copied to the client's first and last name in Jobber.

Data read and written

The Jobber AI integration touches a scoped set of fields. Here is exactly what moves between the two systems:

DirectionWhat it covers
ReadClients: first name, last name, company name, email addresses and phone numbers.
ReadNew clients and new requests as they are created in Jobber. From a request, only the client is used.
ReadEvery client in your Jobber account, when you run an import.
WriteA tag on a linked client for each label added to the contact.
WriteThe client's first and last name, when you edit the linked contact. The last word of the contact name becomes the last name and the rest becomes the first name.

How to set up the Jobber AI integration

Setup takes a few minutes once your Jobber account is live. The outline:

  • Open Connections > Integrations from the top bar.
  • Click Bookings in the category list on the left, or search for Jobber.
  • Click Connect on the Jobber row. The Connect Jobber window opens.
  • The window's description asks for a Client ID, Client Secret and Domain. Ignore it, there are no fields to fill in.
  • Click Connect at the bottom of the window. Jobber's sign-in page opens in the same tab.
  • Sign in to the Jobber account you want to use and approve the access request.

The step-by-step walkthrough, including every button and field, is in the Jobber documentation.

Use cases for the Jobber AI integration

Teams typically turn the Jobber AI integration on to:

  • A new customer sends you a request through Jobber. They are added to your contacts, your Jobber campaign sends them a WhatsApp welcome template, and when they reply the AI agent picks up the conversation in the Main Inbox.
  • Your Jobber campaign has an Add/Remove Label step that adds a New lead label, so the office sees a New lead tag on the same client in Jobber.
  • After the AI agent has talked a client through a job on WhatsApp, a teammate adds a Quote requested label to the conversation. If that contact is linked to a Jobber client, the client gets a Quote requested tag and the office can follow up from Jobber.

For broader AI-agent patterns across every integration, see ai appointment booking system.

Limitations to know

The Jobber integration ships with a deliberately scoped surface. These are the limits worth knowing before you depend on it:

  • The AI agent can't see your Jobber jobs, quotes, visits or invoices, and it can't book work in Jobber.
  • Only clients come across. What the customer asked for in a request stays in Jobber.
  • The import only adds clients you don't have yet. A client that matches an existing contact by email or phone is counted as Skipped and is neither updated nor linked. A client with no name, or with no email and no phone, is counted as Invalid.
  • Jobs are not imported, even though the GetJobber tile says "Import clients & jobs".
  • Imported clients don't start the Jobber trigger.

Pricing and plan availability

The Jobber AI integration is available on MessageMind's paid plans. The MessageMind pricing page lists which plan is required and what each tier includes. There is no extra per-integration fee; the connection is part of your account.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Jobber AI integration?

The Jobber AI integration is the native connection between Jobber and MessageMind. Once connected, the AI agent can read live Jobber context during a conversation and act on it (for example answering a stock question, booking an appointment or updating a contact) across WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS, email and web chat.

How do I connect Jobber to MessageMind?

Open the Jobber integration page inside your MessageMind dashboard and follow the connect flow. The full step-by-step with every field label and screenshot is in the Jobber documentation.

How does authentication work for the Jobber integration?

You sign in on Jobber's own page and approve access there. You don't have to sign in again unless you disconnect Jobber or remove MessageMind's access in Jobber. MessageMind stores these credentials encrypted at rest and uses them only server-side, so they never reach the browser or any third party.

What does the AI agent do once Jobber is connected?

It works with live Jobber data during the conversation. The first capability in the Jobber documentation reads: "New clients you add in Jobber appear in your contacts with their name, email addresses and phone numbers." The full list, with every field the integration reads and writes, is in the documentation.

After Jobber sends you back, you see "Failed to connect Salesforce". What should I do?

This message appears by mistake after a Jobber connection. If the Jobber row shows a tick and a Disconnect button, Jobber is connected.
